Branch Manager

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the Branch (strategy, budget, business activity, risk, compliance, finance, legal reporting, operational, human and technical resources…) in order to support the Branch’s overall objectives and strategies, to be able to achieve its business and financial targets
  • Manage and supervise the Branch’s human resources, ensure an effective organization and pleasant working atmosphere and maintain a flawless collaboration with the various departments of the Head Office.
  • Represent the Branch with third parties (CSSF, BCL, ABBL…) and with the external auditors
  • Act as Chief Risk Officer (under the supervision of the Risk Management department in Geneva)
  • Act as Chief Internal Auditor (Internal audit function being externalized to a reputable audit firm).


Your profile :

  • University Degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent
  • Proven management experience of 10+ years in a Luxembourg’s medium sized Bank with good knowledge of general banking practice
  • Demonstrated experience should include finance, audit, operations, risk management and a strong knowledge of the local laws, rules and regulations applicable in Luxembourg and EU including Luxembourg’s regulatory and legal financial reporting practices; good knowledge of Swiss regulations a plus.
  • People management aptitudes, charisma and professional competences to be the natural leader ot the Branch and ensure a positive and participative team spirit and ability to influence change positively
  • Good knowledge of Treasury products is a plus
  • Excellent ability to communicate, written and oral
  • Very high integrity and trustworthiness
  • Goal oriented
  • Diligent, rigorous, ready to anticipate and minimize risks
  • Multitasking, problem-solver and ability to set priorities
  • Confident, capable of using initiative and taking responsibility for the decisions made
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Customer-service skills, ability to present the bank appropriately
  • At ease with IT tools (Outlook, MS Office,…)
  • Fluency in French and English
